Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Recipes generator (trading as "RecipesGenerator", "we", "us") collects when you use the Service, how we use it, and the choices you have. Recipes generator is the data controller for personal data processed through the Service.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: email address, kitchen name, initials, dietary preferences/allergies you choose to enter.
• Content you create: prompts, photos you upload, generated recipes, shopping lists, saved items.
• Billing metadata: subscription status, plan, billing cycle, and a Paddle subscription/customer identifier returned by our reseller Paddle. Full card numbers and bank details are collected by Paddle directly and never reach our servers.
• Usage: server logs, request timestamps, IP address, basic device info, AI generation counts.

2. How we use it

To provide and improve the Service, generate recipes, enforce plan limits, process payments, send transactional email (receipts, password reset, account notices), prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

3. Legal basis for processing

We process personal data on the following legal bases: (a) performance of a contract with you, to provide the Service and your subscription; (b) our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service and preventing abuse; (c) your consent, where required (for example, optional cookies or marketing email); and (d) compliance with legal obligations, such as tax and accounting record-keeping.

4. AI processing

Prompts, photos, and dietary info you submit are sent to our AI providers (e.g., Google Gemini, OpenAI) through Lovable's AI gateway to generate output. We do not use your private inputs to train third-party foundation models.

5. Sharing

We share data only with the categories of recipients needed to run the Service:

• Merchant of Record: Paddle.com Market Ltd. acts as our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle processes all checkouts, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, invoicing, and refunds, and receives the personal data needed for those purposes (name, email, billing address, payment details, transaction history).
• Hosting & infrastructure subprocessors: Lovable (hosting, AI gateway, transactional email), Supabase (database, authentication, storage), and the underlying cloud providers they use.
• AI providers: Google (Gemini) and OpenAI for AI inference, as described in Section 4.
• Professional advisers: our legal and accounting advisers, under confidentiality.
• Authorities: where required by law, legal process, or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated content from Account settings at any time. Billing records may be retained for up to 7 years to meet tax/accounting obligations.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including California, the EEA, and the UK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, to withdraw consent at any time, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. 8. International transfers

The Service is operated from the United States, and subprocessors (including Paddle, Google, OpenAI, Lovable, and Supabase) may process data in the United States and other countries. Where data is transferred from the EEA or UK, we and our subprocessors rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

9. Children

RecipesGenerator is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest, row-level security on user data, and authenticated server endpoints. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.

11. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies. If we introduce analytics cookies, we'll update this notice and surface a cookie preferences control.

12. Changes

If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or in-product at least 14 days before they take effect.
